The most creative I could get with it was to try to scrape all of the powder off the inside of the screen. Oh, and I used to draw a mean maze. Do a Google search for "Etch-a-Sketch art." Some of it is mind-blowing. (And some of it probably is Photoshopped.)

I did a bit of quick Google searching to find sales figures, but the only figure I found was 100 million sold since it was invented in 1960. The rest of the search results all had to do with that Romney aide's gaffe back in March.

I can't help but think the Etch-a-Sketch is headed for the same fate as those toys with a picture of a hairless head under a plastic cover with a bunch of metal shavings that you moved around with a magnet to put hair on the head.

Maybe production was sent to China to undermine the workers, who would be distracted from their productivity by playing with the toy
